Here’s a summary of what EOY 2009 is about. Credits and Kudos goes to The Banzai! Effect for all the images and coverage.
EOY is all about having fun with people sharing the same goals, dreams and interests, regardless of what era and universe they hail from. Cue Mr Storm Trooper and Krauser, who seem to have taken a keen interest on each other at first sight! Tonnes of popular anime, game and movie characters came to life with the aid of intricately made outfits and props, much to the delight of fanboys, fangirls and photographers, who clicked away ecstatically.

The performers, looking cool, kawaii, gorgeous and sexy like their characters, wowed the audience with great artistic talents and acting abilities. The judges were spoilt for choice, but they eventually settled on the winners who were awarded with great prizes from our sponsors. Cosplay group Genesis and the War of Genesis impressed everyone with their excellent performance and was commended for bringing back fond memories with their spoofs of various K-Pop songs.

As a popular singer and anime seiyuu, Yui Makino undoubtedly has lots of engagements, but she took time out specially to grace our sunny shores, where fans could interact with her at two autograph sessions, a guest performance segment and a concert. She entranced the audience with popular songs like “Fuwa Fuwa”. Fans also learnt some interesting facts about her and even celebrated her birthday during an exclusive Q & A session!
